Our 1800EP Telestep Ladders are the latest released Telesteps Models - with the New "Air Shock" closing system. Instead of pulling rings down to collapse the ladder, there is a new mechanism at the bottom of the ladder that you squeeze to close. This collapses the ladder in a slow, controlled fashion.

Extends from 33" to 14.5 Feet. Heavy duty wide step construction. Weight rating, 300 lbs. This ladder has wide steps (approximately 3" wide), for more comfortable climbing. Give same climbing height as an 18' extension ladder.

I have used this ladder for the last 3 years and have loved every time I set it up/down. This ladder has the soft close feature which keeps it from slamming down on an unprotected part of your body. The wide steps are a must if you don't want to worry about falling. There is some flex to the ladder when you get up towards the end of the ladder but once you are familiar with this you can scamper up and down with ease. Even if you don't think you need to spend the extra $ for the taller ladder with wide steps, you should. You will never regret it because it is completely adjustable to fit the height you need AND it is soooo easy to carry around you don't even care about the weight. Plus the 1800EP Wide has the newer pinch to close feature (One of its best features!) under the second step instead of the pull rings that the smaller ladders have.
