What kind of solar panel?
Specially made German amorphous solar panel. Unlike the commonly used monocrystal solar panel, amorphous charges in partially cloudy and shady conditions.
How much charge does it take?
Fully charged = 600 Ma = 200 hours of red flashing light.
What will happen on dark overcast days, very cloudy, rain, snow, or icy days?
One hour of direct sun = 60 Ma charge = 20 hours of red flashing light. Not in direct sun = 5-10 Ma charge per hour depending on brightness. Overcast days = 2-3 Ma charge. Heavy dark overcast = 1-2 Ma not enough for charging. Because unit usually has reserve charge up until 600 Ma it will operate on reserve if not getting enough charge. When flashing the light uses 3 Ma per hour. Note: A flashing light uses much less energy then a non flashing light.
How does it operate in heat, cold, and humidity?
